Police workforce, England and Wales
Accredited official statistics as at 31 March, published in July. Table H3 gives the England and Wales workforce from 31 March 2003 on the current basis (including officers on career breaks and parental leave); Table S1 gives the older basis, excluding them, from 31 March 1996. Table H4 gives officers by Police Force Area with ONS PFA codes and the Home Office's own officers-per-100,000-population figure.
