Council tax levels set by local authorities in England 2026 to 2027 (MHCLG)
The average Band D council tax is the amount set for a Band D dwelling averaged across England, including adult social care and parish precepts. It is a level set in advance of the year, not the amount collected, and most dwellings are in bands below D.
